November 5, 2024 General Election: Volunteer to Get Out the Vote!
WE'RE NOT GOING BACK!
Whether you're squaring up to fight for abortion rights, for a progressive Missouri, or just to stick it to Donald Trump, JD Vance, and all their cronies in November, you've got the chance to make a difference in the polling booth. But in conversations with Missouri Democrats, I keep hearing that people are looking for more opportunities to go out there and do something this election. If you're a Democrat fired up to make a change in our city, our state, and our country, there are ways you can get involved!
Get Missourians for Harris-Walz Yard Signs!
Fill out this form to get a Missourians for Harris-Walz yard sign — and thank you to Committeewoman Karisa Gilman-Hernandez for organizing! Harris/Walz signs currently cost $10, but if you find that expense too much for your budget, several generous 6th Ward residents have paid it forward to cover yard signs for their neighbors.
Get Out The Vote!
Knocking on doors and reminding people what's at stake and what is on the ballot this November is the best way to ensure that we get the turnout we need to win these races. Contact Lilly Fuchs, Democratic nominee for Missouri's 80th House District, at Lillyforthelou@gmail.com if you'd like to take a turf. New to canvassing? Email anyways and let us know—we can pair new canvassers with experienced canvassers to get you experience and confidence in talking to your neighbors about politics!
We will also be having a GOTV event in McDonald Park on October 26th starting at 10:00. If you're new to canvassing, Debi Pratt will be leading an explanation of best practices, and if you're an old hand at this, this kicks off our last two weekends push before election day!
We'll be sending out more messages about this as we get closer to November, but we're getting the ball rolling. We need people canvassing at polling places and people who are willing to set up our "Vote Today" signs through the neighborhood the night before (as well as take them down). Ask yourself where you could put an hour or more into canvassing. Learn more about volunteering and sign up for a shift here!
Our values are on the ballot this November, in our city, in our state, and for our entire nation, so let's take the opportunity to take action and fight for them!
